The scorecards were wet, the players and the course with rain screaming across; the intrepid Crispys were undeterred with beaming smiles as they (thankfully) entered the clubhouse. Scoring was pretty varied with some stiff competition for the crisps. Winning with 39 points was your very own editor, followed by Colossal Boy (probably only wearing shorts and singlet), Aqualad (C Hole) and Atom Smasher (P Symons); all winners lost their Crispy points (sadly). Crisp buying was led by Dr Fate (R Palmer), Superboy (M Short) and the Locksmith. Deadshot is now no longer a single figure golfer and Mr Terrific (M Steadman) faded badly after a spectacular start with 2 birdies in the first 3 holes. Tis often said that he burns out if starting too fast.
